Mid-Year Musician Interview Recap
A few three-timers, a few two-timers, a whole lot of first-timers and a few to check off the bucket list
Seeing lots of “Favorite Albums of the First Half of 2025” lists. Was looking over albums that I’ve liked a lot this year and while it’s not one-for-one with the list of artists I’ve interviewed, it’s pretty close. I haven’t interviewed every artist that has put out a favorite album of the year (Matt Berninger, always available to chat if you are), but I get to pick and choose the artists I interview and I only pick artists whose albums I like.
So, rather than post a list of favorite albums, thought I’d share the list of artists I’ve interviewed so far and share a Spotify playlist with songs from these artists.
Just a few notes before the list:
Three of these artists I’ve interviewed three times (Activity, Michigander, Lilly Hiatt)
Three of these artists I’ve interviewed two times (Fishbone, Young Gun Silver Fox)
Two of these fall into the “OH MY GOD, I CAN’T BELIEVE I GOT TO TALK TO YOU” - Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Rikki Rockett (Poison)
